Pumpkin Beers; My Personal Ranking

I know it’s still only September, but Pumpkin Beer Season is in full swing! (YAY).  Now, it’s been my experience that people either love or hate pumpkin beers.  Personally, I LOVE pumpkin beers.  Which stems from my love of pumpkin everything.  Pumpkin beers were some of the first beers I really embraced, since I started my craft beer career in November of last year, at the tail end of pumpkin beer season.  This year I was able to try so many more though, and as soon as they became available, I started drinking them.  It was hard work, but somebody has to do it, right?  I have had 20+ different pumpkin beers so far this season and have decided to share my official ranking with everyone.  Now keep in mind while reading my personal ranking, I prefer heavily spiced, slightly sweet pumpkin beers.  I am looking for the closest thing to pumpkin pie in a bottle as I can get.  So for those of you who don’t like a lot of spice, the ones that rank low for me, may be your favorites.  I am only speaking to my personal preference, and only out of the ones that I have consumed so far this season.  So here it goes, my Official Pumpkin Beer Rating:

20.) Pumpkin Ale-Rivertown

19.)Post Road Pumpkin Ale

18.)Pumpkin Beer- O’Fallon Brewery

17.) Punk’n Uinta

16.) Pumkin Chai-Saugatuck Brewing

14.)Ichabod Ale-New Holland

13.)Punkin Ale-Dogfish Head

12.)Headless Wylie-Rivertowne (the one in PA, not OH)

11.)Spooky Tooth-Fat Head’s

So there is it.  You may disagree, you may just hate pumpkin beers in general, but this is just like, my opinion, man.  Feel free to let me know what you think, and if you like pumpkin beers, definitely give some of my favorites a try!  Cheers!
