Alaskan Brewing Releasing in Ohio!

AkBrewingPlank

For years Ohioans have been hopeful that the Juneau based brewery, Alaskan Brewing, would start sending their beers to Ohio.  Finally it’s happening!  Ohio will be the 18th state that Alaskan will distribute to, but the furthest east.  Alaskan Brewing is ranked in the top 25 largest breweries in the U.S. based on volume.  They recognized that while Ohio is a booming craft beer market, and highly competitive, that Ohio craft beer drinkers would be a worthy recipient of their quality liquid because we take our beer quite seriously here in Ohio, and we appreciate good beer!

At Cappy’s we will officially launch Alaskan Brewing beers on Friday, July 15th!  The initial beers that we’ll have available in 6 packs are:

beer-hero-alaskan-amber-1Amber Alt-Style Ale- “The name of this beer style comes from the German word “alt” meaning “old”. This refers to the aging that alts undergo since they ferment more slowly and at colder temperatures than most ales. Slow fermentation helps condition the flavors in Alaskan Amber, contributing to its overall balance and smoothness.”

beer-hero-icy-bay-2

Icy Bay IPA- “characterized by intense hop flavor and aroma accompanied with medium maltiness and body while also being crisp and dry.”

beer-hero-kickersession

Kicker Session IPA- “Inspired by 24 hours of daylight, Kicker Session IPA is an anytime brew with fruity Citra and Amarillo hops and a burst of bright citrus Simcoe hop aroma.”

All 6 packs are $9.99.  We will also have their mixed 12 packs for $18.99 containing Amber, Icy Bay IPA, White (A Belgian style Wit beer), and a rotating “surprise beer”.

On Friday, to celebrate Alaskan Brewing’s release, we will also be tapping Amber and Hopothermia  DIPA!  With the excitement surrounding this release, the beers will go quickly!  So get your growlers and your wallets, and come to Cappy’s on Friday for your Alaskan Brewing fix!
