Great Divide Fresh Hop- “Fresh Hop is a labor of love meant to be enjoyed today. Brewed in the fall with wet, whole cone hops from the Pacific Northwest, Fresh Hop is the embodiment of seasonality. Don’t age it. Keep it cold. Drink it now. Savoring this delightful pale ale during harvest season ensures that its unparalleled grassy, citrus hop brilliance will remain uncompromised. 55 IBUs. Brewed since 2003.”  ABV: 6.1%.

rhinegeistpenguinRhinegeist Penguin- “Penguin is a celebration of camaraderie, breaking the mold and the special bonds of friendship. It is 7.0%, 35 IBU Blonde Stout infused with coffee and cacao nibs delivering chocolate, coffee and roasted notes in a mindbendingly blonde beer.”

newbelgiumcookiedoughNew Belgium Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale- “To craft this confection, we dove into our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipes for inspiration, and then whipped hefty doses of chocolate, brown sugar and vanilla into a dough-hued blonde ale base. The result is a full-bodied beer that seduces with a perfect balance of vanilla and chocolate, and finishes with just the right amount of sweetness. Put down the spoon, pick up a pint.”  ABV:6%.

Deschutes_Jubelale_12oz_Labels_OLDeschutes Jubelale- “Warm spiciness and tradition grace this bold winter ale. The deep garnet color pairs perfectly with holiday celebrations.”  ABV: 6.7%.

jpbamdicastagnaJolly Pumpkin Bam di Castagna- “A fall inspired version of Bam Biere – a richer, fuller recipe to start and of course a lot of chestnuts to the mash as well! Rich auburn, gently tart, notes of earthy chestnuts, flavors of cashew, taro, traces of autumn smoke and a slightly orange juiciness in the finish.”  ABV: 4.5%.

stone_crime__63363-1444797697-1280-1280Stone Crime- “This beer is the result of what many beer enthusiasts would consider a most egregious crime―sequestering Arrogant Bastard Ale, Double Bastard Ale and OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale in Kentucky bourbon barrels, then blending them together with chile peppers. This new version of Crime is still very hoppy in spite of the barrel aging, with lots of oak and malt. The long finish reveals layers of oak, vanilla, bourbon, and malt that combine to produce complex caramel flavors, with peppers adding pleasant tamarind, subtle tropical fruit flavors and a milder heat than in previous concoctions.”  ABV:  9.6%.

stonepunishment__79665-1384322032-1280-1280Stone Punishment- “Never intended for the timid, Punishment is the capsaicin-throttled spawn of a beer behemoth, Double Bastard Ale. In this year’s brew, the flavors of Double Bastard Ale have been further enhanced by the bourbon barrel aging. The addition of chile peppers to the beer adds lingering flavors in the finish of subtle tropical fruit and some layers of heat along with the toffee, caramel malt and hop flavors.”  ABV: 12%.

stone-oakmealStone Bitter Chocolate Oakmeal- “An already magnificent beer’s mouthwatering recipe of unsweetened chocolate, flaked oats and dark-roasted malts is made even more deliciously complex care of oak barrels that previously nurtured bourbon. These amazing vessels impart oak and coconut-like flavors upfront while accentuating the silky smooth midpalate with oak vanillin notes. The finish is long and intense, with layers of chocolate and oak vanillin. You might be tempted to lick the glass for every last drop of this delectable adult confection.”  ABV: 11.4%.

sixpoint-5-beansSixpoint 5Beans- “If you’re tired of run-of-the-mill flavors, maybe some coffee and exotic spices will perk you up. We gathered 5BEANS from the bazaar to create a cultural phenomenon; a melting pot of cacao, vanilla, coffee, and cardamom creates our original Turkish inspired porter.”  ABV: 10%.

two-brothers-20160807-wouchTwo Brothers Wouch!- A very limited cherry sour ale.  ABV: 5.5%.

baklavatothefutureCrafted Baklava to the Future- A Honey Wine designed to taste like baklava.  ABV: 6%.

ommegangcollaborationOmmegang Collaboration 2016- A Doppelbock brewed in collaboration with Urban Chestnut Brewing.  ABV:7.5%.

unibroue_megadethUnibroue A Tout Le Monde- Megadeth beer! “a flavorful Belgian style dry hopped golden saison with hoppy and spicy notes. Topped by an unctuous head, this beer will give fans a clean, fresh taste and a crisp dry finish inviting to take another sip”  ABV: 4.5%.

atglondonballingAgainst The Grain London Balling- “English style barleywine brewed with Maris Otter pale, Aromatic and caramel malts, then balanced with English Nugget and Kent Goldings hops. Aged in Angel’s Envy bourbon barrels for nearly 3 months.”  ABV: 12.5%.

jukeboxhero_final-01Revolution Jukebox Hero- “Our black IPA is bursting with crisp, clean bitterness and layers of wonderful American hop character. Pale Ale, Munich and Naked Golden Oats give a toasty malt backbone with a smooth mouthfeel. The dark ominous color comes from the Chocolate Malt and the de-husked highly roasted malt. We want the layers of hops to shine against this roasty malt backdrop. Warrior, Citra, Chinook, Centennial and Amarillo lend bitterness as well as a wonderful cornucopia of aromas and flavors of fresh citrus fruit, pine, fresh cut mint and fresh flowers they offer. ”  ABV: 7.5%.

prairie-artisan-ales-mericaPrairie Merica- “Merica is a single malt, single hop farmhouse ale. It’s brewed with floor malted pilsner and 3lbs per bbl Nelson Sauvin hops. The beer is conditioned with 2 brett strains and wine yeast. The Nelson hops provide white wine flavors while Brettanomyces add a juicy quality to the beer.”  ABV: 7.5%.

dark-horse-4-elf-4_1Dark Horse 4 Elf- “4 Elf is holiday cheer in liquid form. Spicy aromas like cinnamon and clove give this dark brown winter warmer a proper holiday welcome. Balanced between malt, hops, and spice at 8.75% ABV this beer goes great with all holiday foods—from sweet snacks to the roast beast.”

2014_DHBC_BlueberryStout_label v2Dark Horse Tres Blueberry- “Number three in our stout series, this stout is full-bodied and brewed with all malted barley and fresh blueberries added after fermentation. The nose is where you will begin to realize this stout is in a league of its own. Blueberry, chocolate and roasted aromas lead the way to a very pleasant drinking experience which leaves you wanting the next December to arrive sooner than last year.”  ABV: 7.5%.

bells%20winter%20white%20aleBells Winter White Ale- “An alternative to dark and heavy winter warmers and stouts, Winter White is a stylish and refreshing Wheat Ale.  Fermented with a Belgian ale yeast, this blend of barley and wheat malts yields a mixture of clove and fruity aromas, all without the use of any spices. Deliberately brewed to retain a cloudy appearance, Winter White is a beer for embracing winter.”  ABV: 5%.

bells-christmas-ale_label-small-crushBells Chrismas Ale- “A sessionable alternative to traditional spiced winter warmers, this Scottish Ale features Michigan grown malt from the Bell’s Farm in Shepherd, Michigan to impart dry, toasted notes along with subtle toffee flavors.  A blend of hops from Michigan and the Pacific Northwest lend an earthy, herbal aroma to compliment your holiday menu, not overpower it.”  ABV: 5.5%.

ballastpointvictoryatseaBallast Point Victory at Sea- “a bold, smooth brew with just the right amount of sweetness. We infused this robust porter with vanilla and San Diego’s own Caffe Calabria coffee beans. The subtle roasted notes and minimal acidity of the cold brewed coffee, balances perfectly with the sweet caramel undertones of the malt, creating a winning combination for your palate.”  ABV: 10%.

New Beer Arrivals 10/17-10/21

Avery Mephistopheles- “Mephistopheles is the crafty shapeshifter, the second fallen angel; he who does not love light. Herein he patiently lies, waiting and willing to do your bidding, but for a price. Enter into his darkness, a tangled and intricate labyrinth of bittersweet rapture.”  ABV: 15%.

avery-brewing-samael-s-oak-aged-ale-beer-colorado-usa-10329179Avery Samaels- “Samael is the prince of demons, the angel of death, accuser and destroyer. Filled with enmity towards man, he planted the vine, the forbidden tree of paradise. Behold his venom and vengeance, both sweet and tempting, enticing you, his spellbound victim, within his wings.”  An Oak Aged Strong Ale.  ABV: 16.3%.

avery-brewing-pumpkyn-porter-beer-colorado-usa-10665273Avery Pumpkyn-  “Bourbon barrel-aged pumpkin porter, spiced with nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves, and aged in fresh Bourbon barrels for 6 months.”  ABV: 15%.

avr_rumpkin0913-01-e1378247387694-200x200Avery Rumpkin- “We wondered what would happen if a monstrous pumpkin ale, plump full of spicy gourdiness, were aged in fine fresh rum barrels to add suggestions of delicate oak and candied molasses. Rumpkin is what happened! This first member of the Annual Barrel-Aged Series was brewed with roasted pumpkins from a local Boulder County farm, and spiced with nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger.”  ABV: 16.73.

lwulverbottleThirsty Dog Sherry Barrel aged Wulver- A Scotch Ale/Wee Heavy aged in sherry barrels.  ABV: 12%.

epic-brewing-big-bad-baptist-imperial-stout-beer-utah-usa-10514092Epic Brewing Big Bad Baptist- “One Big Bad Imperial Stout with Cocoa nibs and Coffee beans. Each season’s release uses a different dark roasted coffee.”  ABV: 12.7%.

hopstalkerFat Head’s Hop Stalker- “Deep in the Yakima Valley, our hop-obsessed Head Brewmaster went commando in search of his prized nuggets. His mission: capture the freshest hop flowers he could sneak up on. Then he wet-hopped this bad-ass brew for a deliciously dank IPA. Out of the wild emerged The Hop Stalker. Piney? Yes. Resiny? Yes. Citrusy? Yes. Dangerous? Absolutely!”  ABV: 7%.

harvestFounders Harvest Ale- “This liquid dream pours a hazy golden straw color with a white, two-finger head. Your first sip rewards you with a super juicy hop presence bursting with fresh citrus, then finishes to introduce toasted malt undertones.”  ABV: 7.6%.

eastondownWeyerbacher Easton Brown&Down- “Easton Brown & Down is a 5.6% ABV Brown Ale. Brewed with deep-roasted chocolate malt, this brew has a warm, roasty flavor that balances out with a slightly dry finish.”

lagunitas-born-yesterdayLagunitas Born Yesterday- “Quite possibly the freshest Fresh Hop ale you’ll get your paws on. How? Our farmer friends in Yakima, WA harvested and rushed straight-to-our-breweries the freshest wet, un-kilned hops. Then a herculean effort involving the Lagunitas brewers commenced with a quickness … sorting and picking through the hops to ensure the freshest of the fresh. After all the lupulin glands are sufficiently tickled, the hops go into a proprietary Borning Process which allows us to take these whole-cone hops (not pellets or oils or other sorcery) and deliver their absolute essence and liquid likeness to you in bottles and kegs for an immaculate reception.”  ABV: 6.5%.

DFH_BottleSketches_033016_V3_HLDogfish Head Flesh&Blood- “Flesh & Blood began with a ton of real citrus including lemon flesh and blood orange juice—hence the name—plus orange and lemon peel. Then the brewers began searching for the perfect combination of hops to perfectly complement the citrus flavors. After trialing number of different hops one-by-one, they emerged with Warrior, Centennial, and a rare experimental hop.  So what does this focus on simple, pure unadulterated fruit mean in terms of the aromatics and flavors in this beer? Flesh & Blood balances the resinous hoppy characteristics of an American IPA with the explosive zesty fruitiness and subtle drying tartness of citrus to deliver a highly quaffable ale that’s incredibly unique and lovely to down the whole year round. ”  ABV: 7.5%.

chasin-freshies_oval2Deschutes Chasin’ Freshies- “Like fresh powder, it’s a seize-the-moment thing. This year we’ve chased down fresh Centennial hops from the Goschie Farms in Oregon. At harvest, we rush the hops from the vine to our kettles to ensure we capture the purest, juiciest essence of the hop flower in every beer. Enjoy the bright, bold aroma and flavor that comes but once a year.”  ABV: 7.4%.

great-lakes-20150813-ohio-cityGreat Lakes Ohio City- “Dark and roasty yet light and smooth as a fresh coat of snow, our Oatmeal Stout will kick your cabin fever and inspire you to toss another log on the fire.”  ABV: 5.4%.

alaskan-hopothermiaAlaskan Brewing HopoThermia- “This American Double India Pale Ale, or IPA, is as big and bold as the mythical lone brewer himself. Legend has it that he first came up with this beer, with the help of his woodland friends, to fight against the long frigid winter nights endured by all of the pioneers of the Last Frontier.”  ABV: 8.5%.

southern-tier-choklat-labelSouthern Tier Choklat- “the ancients called it ‘food for the gods’“ The Popol Vuh, the sacred book of the Maya, unfolds a complex web of mystery around a beverage known as xocoatl (ch-co-atle). At Southern Tier, we’re not surprised that hieroglyphs of the ancient Maya depict chocolate being poured for rulers and gods. Even through the many voyages of Columbus, the mystical bean remained nothing more than a strange currency of the native peoples. Moving through centuries, the circular journey of cacao has been realized in our brewing house, encompassing the complexity of the darkest, bitter-sweet candy together with the original frothy cold beverage of the ancient Maya to bring to you our Blackwater Series Choklat Stout. We have combined the finest ingredients to tempt your senses & renew the power & interrelation of history in every bottle.”  ABV: 10%.

macfannybaw-4x6-5ttbAgainst The Grain Mac Fanny Baw- “Truly a ground breaking beer, this Barrel aged Rauchbier was an attempt to replicate the flavors present in Islay Scotch Whiskey.  We used Munich malt as a base and added copious amounts of Beechwood and Peat smoked malt, which provides the intense smoky and earthy peat flavors found in Scotch.  Then the addition of Alderwood smoked salt lends a crisp brininess that is reminiscent of the sea air in the Islay region of Scotland.  Aged in used Angel’s Envy Bourbon Barrels to give an intense caramel, vanilla and whiskey flavor.”  ABV: 8.5%.

sticky-icky-ickyShort’s Sticky Icky Icky- “a radiantly dank, clear copper-colored American India Pale Ale loaded with citrusy hop aromas. This light, yet full-bodied, ale seems perfectly balanced by equal parts sweet malt and fruity juicy hops. A medium bitterness lingers in the finish with a subtle earthiness.”  ABV: 7.1%.

stillwatersuperhopStillwater Superhop- A hazy, “neo-tropic” IPA.  Now available in cans!  ABV: 6%.

eviltwinpachamamaEvil Twin Pachamama Porter- “Porter with Sweet Potatoes, Purple Mais & Aji Panca Chili Peppers.”  ABV: 6.5%.

eviltwindonno-jpgEvil Twin Don No- “Vegan-style berliner weisse ale with mango and pineapple added.”  ABV: 4%.

New Beer Arrivals 10/10-10/14

Clown Shoes Ohio Unidragon 2016- “Ohio Unidragon 2016 is a variation of Clown Shoes’ popular Blaecorn Unidragon (12.5 percent) that was first released in 2014 as an Ohio state exclusive. Prior to this year, Ohio law dictated that beers distributed in the state were limited to an ABV of 12 percent and below, forcing the 2015 incarnation to be released at 11.5 percent ABV. That changed on May 31 when House Bill 37 was passed, which did away with the 12 percent ABV cap. As a result, Clown Shoes bumped up the ABV of the newest version to 12.5 percent”

bpkg16_darktruthstout_12oz__ttbBoulevard Dark Truth- “Throughout the ages, man has been fascinated by the quest for hidden knowledge, the search for the secret to transforming the elemental into the extraordinary, the simple into the sublime. Ladies and gentlemen, we present for your consideration this exotic, inky concoction, the almost magical creation of our modern day alchemists who have turned humble grains—barley, wheat, rye, and oats—into black, liquid gold. Layers of complex flavors slowly emerge from the glass: espresso, roasted fig, crème brulée. Belgian yeast provides a plum-like fruitiness, noble German hops reveal spicy, herbal notes, while the rich, velvety mouthfeel mellows to a dry, smoky finish. ”  ABV: 9.7%.

great-divide-oak-aged-yeti-12ozGreat Divide Oak Aged Yeti- “Yeti Imperial Stout’s sophisticated sibling. They may be from the same clan, but they have entirely different personalities. Oak aging gives a subtle vanilla character, rounding out Yeti’s intense roastiness and huge hoppy nature. Who says you can’t tame a Yeti?”  ABV: 9.5%.

b56790434ff1df3afdf707b826b4ad9cTwo Brothers Heavier Handed- “Heavy Handed IPA is brewed to celebrate the harvesting of the hops every year. Within moments of harvest we add freshly picked “Wet Hops” to this IPA. Since the hops have not been dried before use, they add a wonderful character found in no other beer. A hop lovers dream.”  ABV: 6.7%.

2015-medalsLeft Hand Fade To Black- (GABF award winning in 2016!)- “Pours black with licorice, espresso bean, molasses, and black cardamom notes that give way to a feeling of self loathing, burnt opportunities and smoked relationships.”  ABV: 8.5%.

ommegang-20160801-valar-dohaerisOmmegang Valar Dohaeris- “pours a beautiful copper-tinted hue with a full, fluffy white head. Sweet grain and honey are prevalent in the aroma. The flavor opens with a bright sweetness thanks to the Belgian candi sugar used in brewing. The finish is moderately dry and effervescent with just a hint of Belgian yeast character.”  ABV: 9%.

Hilma-skisserOmnipollo Mackaper- A Pale Ale with Citra and Galaxy hops.  ABV: 6%.

stillwater-pineapple-fieldsStillwater Pineapple Fields- A wild IPA brewed with pineapple.  ABV: 6.7%.

stillwater-gose-gone-wild-world-tour-tijuana-22-ounce-bottle-labelStillwater Gose Gone Wild World Tour Tijuana- One of the best goses out there, but this time brewed with blackberries, hibiscus, lime, smoked agave and Mayan sea salt.  ABV: 4.8%.

New Beer Arrivals 10/3-10/7

Revolution Unsessionable- “The biggest and baddest IPA we’ve ever made, but with the satisfying drinkability of a Revolution beer. It may look and feel like a sessionable beer, but it ain’t. Six hop varieties including tons of Galaxy infuse this giant IPA with flavors and aromas of pine, passion fruit, and citrus rind. With a surprisingly dry and crisp finish, this is the most drinkable imperial IPA you’ll likely ever have. Drink it fresh.”  ABV: 10%.

rhinegeisthughRhinegeist Hugh- A traditional Bavarian Hefeweizen with hints of clove and banana.  ABV: 5.4%.

stoneenjoybytangerineStone Enjoy By 10.31.16 Tangerine- “After brewing this intense double IPA with more than 10 different hops and consistently delivering it faster than any bottled IPA on the planet, we decided to do something different with this Stone Enjoy By IPA—we took it to another level, again. Puréed tangerines were added to the batch to create a devastatingly fresh IPA with a tang of tangerine. The flavors yielded by this addition to the recipe meld beautifully with the bitterness of the hops. True to this series, Stone Enjoy By Tangerine IPA is brewed specifically NOT to last, and should be enjoyed within 37 days.”  ABV: 9.4%.

stonexocovezaStone Xocoveza-  “Harmoniously layered with cocoa, Mostra coffee, pasilla peppers, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and milk sugar, this beer is an insanely delicious take on Mexican hot chocolate. Thanks entirely to you and fan demand, it has gone from being a one-time offering to a yearly tradition too special to skip. Feel free to enjoy it long into the winter months because this festive beer will age beautifully and is definitely not exclusive to the holidays!”  ABV: 8.1%.

bruery-autumn-mapleThe Bruery Autumn Maple- “Brewed with 17 lbs. of yams per barrel (in other words, a lot of yams!), this autumn seasonal is a different take on the “pumpkin” beer style. Brewed with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla, molasses, and maple syrup, and fermented with our traditional Belgian yeast strain, this bold and spicy beer is perfect on a cold autumn evening.”  ABV: 10%.

braxtonblowngasketBraxton Blown Gasket- “Brewed for those times when you need to blow off a little steam. Blown Gasket is a darker offering with a moderately strong malt character. Notes of toffee and chocolate. This porter is robust as a new gasket kit, black and smooth like poured oil. Delicious black oil.”  ABV: 7.5%.

bayofbengalChristian Moerlein Bay of Bengal- “The remaining wilderness surrounding the Indian Ocean’s Bay of Bengal is the last great stronghold for earth’s most formidable terrestrial predator: The Bengal Tiger. Aggressively hopped, yet surprisingly delicate, this Double India Pale Ale offers a juxtaposition of two opposing forces. Crack open a can. Cry out with a roar. Revel in the partnership of the ferocious and the serene.”  ABV: 8.9%.

madtree-20151105-identity-crisisMadtree Identity Crisis- “Not a ray of light penetrates the soul of this beer. Combining the roasted malt backbone of a Porter with a huge amount of earthy and citrusy hops typical in many IPA’s, this unique ale will leave you questioning it’s identity and maybe yours.”  ABV: 6.9%.

maui-blood-lorenzini-dipa-cans-beerpulseMaui Blood Lorenzini-  India Pale Ale brewed with local citrus and blood orange juice.  ABV: 8%.

stone-unapologetic-ipa-bottleStone Unapologetic- “Maybe it seems passé to some: three masters of hoppy beer once again exploring the familiar territory of the India pale ale. Who needs yet another IPA, double or otherwise, right? To those who feel this way, this trio’s reply is, “So what?” They aren’t staying in their comfort zone—they’re hitting a sweet spot in the name of all that is good, delicious, hoppy and forward-thinking to create an IPA that’s both like and unlike anything they, or you, have ever tasted. Rife with essence of pine, resin, and fruits both citrus and tropical, there’s no need for apologies with this beer. All that’s necessary is a yearning for hops, a sturdy constitution and an empty glass.”  ABV: 8.8%.

blueberryipafront-300x214JDubs Blueberry IPA- “An American IPA infused with the flavors and aromas of fresh blueberries! This brew has aromas of fruit hops and Blueberries. The flavor mimics the aroma with a light malt character balancing out the hops and fruit.”  ABV: 6.7%.

alaskan_brewing_2013_smoked_porter_fullAlaskan 2013 Smoked Porter- “The dark, robust body and pronounced smoky flavor of this limited edition beer make it an adventuresome taste experience. Alaskan Smoked Porter is produced in limited “vintages” each year on November 1 and unlike most beers, may be aged in the bottle much like fine wine.”  ABV: 6.5%.

mia-website-beer_graphics_miami_weissM.I.A.  Beer Company Miami Weiss-  “This traditional German-Style Hefeweizen is brewed with wheat, barley, & sweet orange peel. This unfiltered hefe produces vanilla, banana & bubblegum esters.”  ABV: 6%.

mia-website-beer_graphics_mega_mixM.I.A. Beer Company Mega Mix- “A West-Coast style light bodied pale ale with a Megamix of Mosaic, Galaxy and Citra late addition and dry hops. Hugely aromatic and mildly bitter.”  ABV: 6%.

mia-website-beer_graphics_tourist_trappeM.I.A. Beer Company Tourist Trappe- “This tripel is brewed with blond malts and a touch of candy sugar. It’s fermented with Belgian Abby yeast strain that imparts fruity and spicy yet soft, well rounded esters. This low hopped brew is easy on the palate, but deceptively strong.”  ABV: 10%.

Bell’s Roundhouse- “Substantial amounts of late-kettle hop additions and dry-hopping yields a heady blend of fruity aromas of pineapple, peach and citrus. Those aromas continue into a crisply bitter hop presence across the tongue, but the judicious use of toasted and caramel specialty malts prevents the hop intensity from overwhelming the palate.  Locally sourced Michigan honey creates a smooth, dry finish that pulls everything together.  The India Red Ale style is a variation on the IPA, but with more caramel and toasted malt character and a reddish hue.”  ABV: 7.5%.

founders-pc-pils-12-ounce-bottle-label-1Founders PC Pils- “Pleasantly crisp, perfectly clean and profoundly crushable, PC Pils is our take on the classic Pilsner style. While Noble hops have been the preferred choice of Pilsner brewers around the world, we went with some of our favorite American varieties. Piney Chinook, pleasantly citrus Cascade and punchy Centennial make this an easy-drinker with floral hop characteristics.”  ABV: 5.5%.

rhinegeistexumRhinegeist Exum- “Formerly known as Nez, features a bevy of grapefruit, lime, and resiny hop flavors with a light malt backbone.”  ABV: 6.4%.

averykaiserAvery The Kaiser- “The Kaiser once said, “Give me a woman who loves beer and I will conquer the world.” If the Kaiser and his significant other had tipped this bottle, we’d all be “sprechenden Deutsch!” We took all that is good in a traditional Oktoberfest – gorgeous, deep copper sheen, massive malty backbone and spicy, floral, pungent Noble hops – then intensified each into this, an Imperial Oktoberfest.”  ABV: 9.3%.

Avery The Beast Grand Cru- “The Beast is a seducer—accommodating, complicated, powerful, dark, unfiltered and created to last the ages. Beyond this, it’s futile to describe him. He will unveil himself differently to each of his followers. The mark is in his constitution.”  ABV: 16.8%.

tenfidyOskar Blues Ten Fidy 2016- “This titanic, immensely viscous stout is loaded with inimitable flavors of chocolate-covered caramel and coffee and hide a hefty 65 IBUs underneath the smooth blanket of malt. Ten FIDY (10.5% ABV) is made with enormous amounts of two-row malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley, flaked oats and hops. Ten FIDY is the ultimate celebration of dark malts and boundary-stretching beer.”  This beer ages wonderfully, so make sure you get some to add to your collection for future verticals!

mandalasimcoeJackie O’s Mandala DIPA Simcoe- A Single hopped double IPA brewed with simcoe hops.  Limited release!  ABV: 9%.

5-rabbit-vida-y-muerte5 Rabbit Vida Y Muerte- “A Märzenbier (Oktoberfest-style) brewed with dulce de leche and flavors inspired by hoja santa. Dulce de leche is a type of milk caramel widely used throughout Latin America. Hoja santa is a large leaf commonly used in Oaxacan cuisine due to the richness in its flavor and aroma. A new seasonal that celebrates the traditional Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).”  ABV: 6.3%.

sagefight-ingredientsDeschutes Sagefight Imperial IPA- “The main event for hopheads has arrived! In the right corner we have lively botanicals hailing from the high desert; in the left, heavyweight citrus hops are looking for a knockout. Get ready to take a punch and keep on swinging with this bold Imperial IPA brewed with sage and juniper berries that’s best shared with those in your corner.”  ABV: 8%.

nowhereinparticular004Nowhere In Particular Batch Number 004- (AKA Passion Squirt) “Have you ever tasted something that rubbed you just the right way? Juicy and tart, with explosive flavor? This passionfruit saison is just that thing: yellow and mellow in color, with a quickly disappearing white head,  and a nice tart and fruity aroma that plays across your senses gently and seductively. You’ll be past the point of excitement once this libatious liquid enters your mouth and pleasantly funky flavor spreads across your tongue. You can’t help but blush. Fruity, tart, clean and easy to drink, this beer is perfect to help loosen your inhibitions for the end of summer, and the well disguised 8.7% ABV only greases the wheels for this endeavor. Enjoy one, or four, and see where the night takes you.”

bachickowTriple Digit Barrel Aged Chickow- Chickow aged in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels.  Limited availability.  ABV: 10%.

weyerbachersundaymolestoutWeyerbacher Sunday Mole Stout- “As the name suggests, this 11.3% ABV American Imperial Stout is the foundation of everyone’s favorite, Sunday Morning Stout, with a twist (and without the barrel aging)… This brew captures everything you’d expect from a traditional molé – coffee, chocolate, heat and smokiness. Foremost is coffee, which is followed by layers of chocolate courtesy of the chocolate malt, cocoa powder and cacao nibs. Finally, a subtle lingering heat and smokiness from our blend of ancho, pasilla, mulato and chipotle peppers, as well as cinnamon, which is gone by the time you’re ready for your next sip.”

founders-pale-joe-bottles-1Founders Pale Joe-  “Light in color but full in flavor, this golden ale features notes of gently roasted, fruit-forward coffee. Pale Joe features a special blend of high-end Ethiopian coffee expertly roasted by our hometown neighbors at Ferris Coffee and Nut. It’s the lovechild of your favorite iced coffee and, well, beer.”  ABV: 5.4%.

4thanniversaryprairiePrairie 4th Anniversary Ale- “This brew is refreshing with a lemon citrus aroma. The ginger is just enough to give this lightly sour ale an added dimension of flavor that keeps you coming back for more. When you get your hands on a bottle of the ginger goodness, you’ll likely ask yourself how we got all that flavor into that bottle. Well, it wasn’t easy. There was plenty of slicing and blending. Then the puréed ginger was added to our sour base and allowed to age until it reached the right balance.”  ABV: 7.5%.

3floydsmunsterfest3 Floyd’s Munsterfest- “This Bavarian-style Oktoberfest Bier is brewed with the finest German ingredients in accordance with the Reinheistgebot or German Purity Law. This malty and crisp lager is one of the few that remain true to the Fest Biers of old. “Es ist nicht normal.” ABV: 6%.  No Holds.

3floydsskelton3 Floyd’s SkeletonWitch-  “a thirst-quenching tart ale with juicy hints of tropical fruit-pineapple, mellow funky cheese and a slight barnyard dry finish topped with cherry, raspberry, pear and plum aromas.”  ABV: 8.5%.  No holds, 1 bottle limit.

oil-of-aphrodite-labelJackie O’s Oil of Aphrodite 2016- “Oil of Aphrodite is an American double stout brewed with Integration Acres black walnuts  and Belgian candied syrup. English, German, American, and Belgian malts are accompanied by Pacific Northwest hop to create a sweet and rich spring board for deep nuttiness. Lay this beer down for a while and share with friends and loved ones.” ABV: 10%.

This Thursday we’ll be hosting a Lagunitas Pint Night with food available from The Beerded Pig, and on Saturday join us for the Official Oskar Blues Paddle for the Cure After Party with food available from Quite Frankly from 3-7pm!

rhinegeist-20160712-barrel-aged-druncleRhinegeist Barrel Aged Druncle- “An Imperial version of Uncle, our English Mild. Druncle, has prominent and complex malt flavors of toffee, pretzel, biscuit, and a hint of chocolate. This version of Druncle was aged in Buffalo Trace barrels.”  ABV: 7.5%.

arborviolinmonsterArbor Brewing Violin Monster- “A geographical approach to the werewolf legends results in the identification of a major werewolf area stretching from mid-Germany into the Netherlands and Belgium.  With this in mind, we have created a strong, dark, spiced using ingredients from those regions. Brewed with Midnight Wheat, warming spices, and a hint of brown sugar, the Violin Monster is black as night and packs a punch at 9.5%.  Unleash your inner beast with Violin Monster Dark Ale, but beware…. it finishes with a bite!”  Also available on tap at our Arbor Brewing Pint Night on Thursday!

mafka-website-imageArbor Brewing Mafka- “The staves were then pitched into a vat of specially blended beer (58% Khatta Kala Sour Stout, 36% Hothaus Harvest Ale, 6% Velvet Hammer) and left to age for 18 months. The results proved to be wildly successful (pun intended!). The scent of rich, black cherries on the nose carries through to a delicate mouthfeel on the palette, and a mild, sweet-tart finish with newly unleashed oak tannins.”  ABV: 5%.

arbordemetriusArbor Brewing Demetrius- “Arbor Brewing Company is proud to offer this exclusive, limited-edition, hand-packaged and bottle-conditioned ale in the Belgian Aged Pale tradition. Our interpretation of this rare Belgian style was created by aging our Mr. Delicious Imperial IPA for six months in gueuze-innoculated oak casks and then bottle conditioning for a minimum of two months. The result is a unique ale with a bright golden hue, moderate carbonation, and a burst of complex fruity, spicy, sweet-tart, and earthy flavors, with a quenching acidity in the finish. As with most bottle-conditioned ales, there may be a thin layer of sediment on the bottom of the bottle. For best results, uncork slowly and decant gently into a glass without disturbing the sediment.”  ABV: 9%.

boulevardbbquadBoulevard Bourbon Barrel Quad- “Based loosely on the Smokestack Series’ The Sixth Glass, this abbey-style quadrupel is separated into a number of oak bourbon barrels where it ages for varying lengths of time, some for up to three years. Cherries are added to make up for the “angel’s share” of beer lost during barrel aging. Selected barrels are then blended for optimum flavor. The resulting beer retains only very subtle cherry characteristics, with toffee and vanilla notes coming to the fore.”  ABV: 11.8%.  Now available in 4 packs!

ryeonryesazeracBoulevard Rye-on-Rye Sazerac- “Inspired by the success of our “X” series of special Imperial Stout releases, we’ve embarked on a journey to the outer reaches of our popular Rye-on-Rye. For the first Rye-on-Rye X release, Rye-on-Rye-on-Rye, we transferred our huge tawny rye ale from its first set of aging barrels into freshly emptied Templeton Rye barrels effectively creating a double barrel aged ale that showcased giant rye whiskey and barrel character. For the second Rye-on-Rye release, we drew inspiration from the famous New Orleans cocktail, the Sazerac. The official recipe is composed of rye whiskey, absinthe or Herbsaint, a sugar cube and bitters all garnished with a lemon peel. To translate this classic cocktail into a beer, we brewed batches of the base rye beer that received spice additions mimicking bitters as well as lemon peel during the boil. The resulting wort was fermented with our house Scottish ale yeast before being aged in freshly emptied Templeton Rye barrels.”  ABV: 11.8%.

Some exciting beers arriving this week, as well as some exciting ones on tap Thursday for our Arbor Brewing Pint Night, and Saturday for our Ballast Point 20th Anniversary Celebration (see events page for details)!!  See you soon, cheers!

We minimized the specialty malts in this brew to allow the star of the show, the hops, specifically Mosaic, to be showcased properly. Using Warrior as our primary bittering hop and additions of Mosaic and Zythos in the brewkettle and whirlpool we created a crisp intense bitterness and layers of earthy and herbal flavors.  Finally, we dry hopped this unique IPA with Mosaic once again to lock in and enhance the aromas of tropical fruit, citrus and fresh pine.”  ABV: 7.5%.

All three beers are then blended together in the fermentation tank to create this German hybrid.”  ABV: 4.9%.
