New Beer Arrivals 3/28-4/1

Dark Horse BA Scotty Karate- For the first time ever, Dark Horse has bottled Barrel Aged Scotty Karate, and in my opinion, it was worth the wait.  Get it at Cappy’s in 4 packs or singles!  That is only one of our exciting new arrivals this week!!  Check out the rest!

Against The Grain Rico Sauvin- An India Pale Ale featuring Nelson Sauvin hops. Named after the Sauvignon Blanc grape, is a variety of hop developed and grown in New Zealand. It has a strong fruity flavor and aroma that is described as resembling white wine, or fresh crushed grapes or gooseberries. Some reviewers of this hop perceive the fruitiness as being very tropical with descriptions including passion fruit, tangerines, and grapefruit.  ABV: 7.6%.

CeK4x-dWAAEESsoWeihenstephan 1516- 1516 was created to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Bavarian Purity Law, which is the world’s oldest food law. The kellerbier is a cloudy amber color and features a mild flavor profile with a touch of caramel.  ABV: 5.6%. (Have it on tap this Saturday at our special Weihenstephan Event!)

B Nektar Stupid Man Suit- Crisp apple and cherry forward. The sides of the tongue garner the tartness of dry apple and unripened berries while a mild sweetness rounds and balances. Medium body with a dry, refreshing finish.  ABV: 5.5%.

B Nektar Tuco Style Freakout- Tart lime engulfs the tongue followed by a creamy sweetness of honey and agave. Medium bodied with a lime pith bitterness on the semi-dry finish. A zip of acidity adds to the wonderful balance of the sweet, tart, and bitter flavors.  ABV: 6%.

1znuffRevolution 1Z eNuff- Another huge IPA knocking you out with a four-hop blend of Chinook, Simcoe, Amarillo, and Crystal hops. This imperial IPA clocks in at 100 IBUs and 11% ABV, making it just a bit bigger than last fall’s Unsessionable, and certainly the kind of beer that you’ll need just one of. Toasted malt flavors lurking behind massive levels of hop bitterness and flavor with a punch of of hop aroma reminiscent of fresh citrus rind.

167240Christian Moerlein Strawberry Pig- “Each spring, we honor Cincinnati’s historical nickname by brewing a small batch of our favorite cream ale recipe, affectionately named “The Pig”. In 2014, we decided to age The Pig with a strawberry infusion. The resulting beer was so fantastic, we knew we had to share.”  ABV: 4.9%.

Clown Shoes Luchador en Fuego- Luchador En Fuego is an 11 percent ABV stout brewed with vanilla, cinnamon and both ancho and chipotle peppers before being aged in bourbon barrels. The “Mexican-style” stout uses Clown Shoes’ Chocolate Sombrero (9 percent ABV) as its base.

Omnipollo Nautilus- A fantastic Sour Ale brewed with blueberries, vanilla, and lactose sugar.  VERY limited!  ABV: 4.5%.

Some other gems laying around if you come in and look around (while having a pint, of course.)  Also, KBS next week! Woo!
